Iron Throne

Game of Thrones fans can breathe a sigh of relief, because HBO have finally released the soundtrack to Season 4.

Composed once again by series regular Ramin Djawadi – whose credits include Iron Man, Pacific Rim, and Person of Interest – the soundtrack notably features a version of The Rains of Castamere performed by acclaimed Icelandic post-rock artists Sigur Ros.

The song, written by Djawadi and Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, has appeared sporadically over the course of the series, most famously during the bloodbath that was the Red Wedding, and celebrates the heritage and power of House Lannister.

You can pick up the soundtrack from HBO’s online store.
